We collect your data in the following five forms -

How we Use your Data
1.) In the form of Cookies -
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. But if you want to, you can change or turn off your cookies setting from your web-browser.
Google Analytics uses cookies as well to better understand how a visitor uses our website. More on this in the next sub-heading.
2.) In the form of Analytics -
We use Google Analytics to better understand what people look at on our website.
When someone visits the site then information about their visit such as what pages they looked at, how much time they spent on those pages and what country this visitor is browsing the site from is is sent in an anonymous form to Google Analytics.
This data only contains information about anyone who is browsing our website from your computer and there is no way to identify a specific individual from this data. We ensure that no personally identifiable information is ever contained within the data sent to Google Analytics.
As analytics information is not personal data, we do not specifically ask for your prior consent.
3.) In the form of Comments -
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form that is, your google account from which you commented, it's user name and profile picture, if available. We do not save or send any of this data externally. We only keep them in the form of comments on our blog posts.
For people who are more concerned about privacy can even choose the option to comment anonymously without giving any personal detail whatsoever, not even your name.
4.) When you fill our Contact Us Form -
We use a Blogger plugin for the contact form on the Contact Page of this website. This plugin does not store any of the sent messages on our webserver or in a database. The message is instead sent to our email inbox at Gmail.
In addition to that, if you are not a fan of old style emails, you can reach out to us on other social media sites as well. On those sites, we definitely will get your user name but we won't store it anywhere in our database.
5.) When you subscribe to our New Post Notification Service -
We use blogger's "Follow by Email" plugin to notify you when we post a new article. In order for you to opt-in for this service, you'll need to enter your email address on which you want the notification of our new post to reach.
Unless, you enter your e-mail and press the "subscribe" button, you won't be added to any e-mail list from our side.
Along with these 5, there is one more way in which we can store some personal information about you. In case, if you choose to share a personal story about yourself or someone you know because either you wanted to or because it was weighing you down so much that couldn't think of anything but to share with us. Then we can store that story/experience and later share it as an article on our blog.
Now, because we care about your privacy, we, at any cost, will never include any actual names in such articles. We will have the right to change the story according to our will for the sake of simplicity and also, so that everyone can relate with it. This includes adding a bit of twist and a life lesson at the end.
Whom we Share your Data
No one. We don't share your data to any third party websites. The details you fill in the contact form stays in our Gmail account and rest everything is stored on the blogger itself.
How long we retain your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
If you join one of our email lists then your email address and associated data is retained until your cancel your subscription to that email list (either by using the unsubscribe link at the end of each email sent or by emailing us and requesting us to delete your email address from that email list).
Your Rights on Your Data
If you have commented on our blog or filled in the "Contact Us" form or opt-in for "Follw by Email" service and you don't want to be a part of any of them or any one of them or all of them, you can simply email us regarding the same and we'll do the needful.
